Macchiato's Margherita

The Perfect Pitt Street Pizza

Pitt street - where the crowd has a life of its own, where there is chatter between every retailer and buyer, old friends catching up, new friends exchanging details and the perfect Pizzas. The hustle and bustle is what brings life to the extravaganza that is Pitt Street, and I'm sure that no one would want it any other way!

As per, a friend and I, struck with hunger, popped out of uni to cop a nice meal. One decision led to another and we ended up at Pitt Street, Sydney CBD. Trusting Google's recommended "places to eat", we walked along with the crowd to eventually end up at Macchiato Woodfire Pizza & Coffee Roastery!

Being greeted on the door by friendly staff, being served seats by the coziest firesticks and having the menu within seconds of being sat - we knew we already loved this place!

Taste - 5/5
Fresh. High-quality. Cooked to perfection. Wide range of vegetarian options and variety of drinks. Don't think I've tasted a better Margherita and sipped on a better mocktail in my life before!

Presentation - 5/5
 Neat. Elegant. And simple.

Waiting Time - 4.5/5
Took about 15-17 minutes for the pizza and drinks to arrive, which was pretty good for a restaurant that is always jam-packed!

Atmosphere - 5/5
The happy-go-lucky staff, dim lighting and light music created the perfect ambiance.

Affordability - 3.5/5
The pizza retailed for $20+ and drinks $10+ so it wasn't the cheapest restaurant. But if you're looking to treat yourself at an almost-perfect restaurant, Macchiato's is it!
