Move over Pizza, we might have something better!

Image
Traditional Turkish flatbread, topped with everything from prawns to chicken and vegetables, the Pide is pizza with a Middle Eastern flavoured twist.  Craving a little something different, my friend and I discovered a small little fast-food store tucked between the famous Dominos and Vivid Nail Salon in Kings Langley, called the Wrap ‘N’ Roll Kebabs. Open wide-set doors, the avid display and aroma of all things good, were no less than inviting. We went on a Friday afternoon whilst out shopping, looking for a place to refuel on drinks and lunch, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Scanning through our options, my friend and I were intrigued by the unfamiliar-sounding Turkish Pide. Ordering by our preference of contents, we found ourselves indulging in the Chicken Kebab Pide and Vegetarian Pide, sided with a few drinks. (We forgot to take photos but here's a stockimage of what a Pide looks like:   Taste – 5/5 Freshly made and heavenly. The Vegetarian Pide,

Chocolate Cravings SATISFIED !!!

Craving Chocolate??  No need to fear, BAY VISTA DESSERT BAR is near!!! Last night in the dark & mysterious hour of 1am, something very strange and dangerous happened... My mind, my stomach and my heart all started to experience chocolate cravings. All I could think of was chocolate. This wasn't something I could fend off, It was something that needed to be dealt with ASAP.  With very limited options available to satisfy my cravings this late at night, I quickly called Fahaad. After explaining the dilemma I was facing, we both jumped in our cars and drove down to Bay Vista Dessert Bar in Brighton-Le-Sands which is open till 3am on a Saturday night.  Upon arrival the waitress greeted us and directed us to our table for 2. She reviewed my symptoms and diagnosed me with a severe case of chocolate craving. Thankfully she knew exactly what type of medication and remedy was needed... A COOKIES AND CREAM CREPE.  After an anticipated and short wai

Himalaya's Restaurant - Surry Hill's

Image
Want to spice up (literally) your lunch breaks as you slave away in Sydney's CBD ? Look no further, in the heart of Surry Hills lies one of the biggest Pakistani & Indian food chains in Sydney! That's right, Himalaya's Pakistani & Indian Cuisine. Who can resist a good curry, like Demetri Martin's saying goes, "My mind says one thing, but my body says another, Thanks a lot, Indian food." So while wasting time on Facebook at work (Sam, if you're reading this, you're a top bloke, and a greater boss), and staring at the clock inching closer and closer to lunch time, I and a couple of friends decided to hit up some desi food, (inb4 inappropriate toilet snapchats circulated). I must admit walking through the office ordering food was interesting, to say the least.. Went a little like this: "Hey there, can we get a table of 4, we'll be in, in about half an hour, can we just grab: 4 x Samosa's 4 x Mango Lassi's

Belly Bao

Image
Belly Bao is a small food joint located on 184 King Street in Newtown. From my experience the atmosphere was very warm and cosy, with the theme of Asian Street Food. They're most famous for they "baos" which are steamed buns stuffed with various fillings. I had previously gone to the restaurant a few times when it was located at the Hudson Ballroom on Liverpool street before it moved to its new location, and the baos I tried were the crackling roast pork belly bao and the slow braised pork belly bao, which I strongly recommend if you ever decide to go there. Photo by @kierachevell I went to Belly Bao for a birthday dinner with 11 other people, and all the staff were very pleasant to deal with, accommodating to everything very professionally. The booking process was also stress free and they were fairly quick to get back to me with details in regards to my booking.  I ordered the "chicken baoger", which consisted of crispy chicken, sarsaparilla
